Joint Advisory Group

The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and Lady Irwin College, New Delhi has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 16th October 2018 with the mandate to establish the ROSHNI – Centre of Women Collectives led Social Action as a technical support unit to DAY-NRLM for knowledge management, policy guidance and convening support for food, nutrition, health, WASH, gender-transformative interventions and convergence action under POSHAN Abhiyaan. The Centre is led by Chairperson (Director, Lady Irwin College), a Faculty Lead (Permanent Faculty of Department of Development Communication and Extension, Lady Irwin College) and a team of Consultants (on contractual basis) and development partners.

The Joint Advisory Group of the ROSHNI Centre was constituted to draw-up an Annual Action Plan with detailed activity mapping, to implement the centre’s objectives. The JAG will also responsible for reviewing and guiding the working of the partnership arrangement.

Dinesh Kumar Tiwari is an Associate Fellow at NCAER. He is an anthropologist with a rich experience of primary data collection for large scale social surveys, qualitative interviews and experimental design.

Dr Anjali Capila

Associate Professor, Department of Development Communication & Extension, Lady Irwin College (Retd.)

Dr. Anjali Capila has a Ph.D from the Department of Home Science, University of Delhi. Her latest book, “Traditional Health Practices of Kumaoni Women – Continuity and Change”, reflects on how modernity and tradition can coexist with one another without losing their essence. Most recently, she presented her work at the Harvard School of Public Health.
